Portable Fire Extinguishers

Extinguisher Supply

Hades Fire Protection only supplies fire extinguishers that bear the BSI kitemark and covers most areas of risk from the fabric of the building to high risk applications.

By sourcing our extinguishers directly from local suppliers like TG Products and CheckFire with their long history of making and distributing extinguishers and related products we know that they are manufactured to the highest standards. Where applicable they are approved to BS EN3 - the standard for portable fire extinguishers.

Customers can either purchase extinguishers from us directly or we can also supply them fitted and and all products carry a 5 year warranty provided that they are serviced in accordance with the requirements of BS 5306.

Extinguisher Maintenance

Fire extinguishers require stringent maintenance to ensure they are safe and will work when needed.  Fire extinguishers are pressurised vessels that can explode when corroded or damaged, and have been known to cause serious injury and even death. British Standard 5306-3:2017 covers the maintenance of portable fire extinguishers, and recommends that, as well as regular inspections by the user, maintenance should be carried out by a competent person (usually a specialist contractor) 12 months after installation of a new extinguisher, and at 12 monthly intervals thereafter.
